These DIY poptarts are super easy to make and won’t even let your kids miss cereal. Cereal is the easiest breakfast in the world, right? I’m super lazy in the morning and I’m like, ‘Just eat cereal, okay?’ Okay. But about a month ago I decided I wasn’t going to buy cereal anymore…one, because it’s not cheap, and two, it’s really not that nutritious. You can read more about why here.
But it took me until two weeks ago to really say “no” to cereal. Like I said, it’s super easy to ‘make’ and I’m kind of lazy soooo…I’m on a mission to make breakfast for us easier, without eating pancakes every morning. Because I hate them.
This weekend I made DIY pop tarts, or “toaster pastries” from Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Caeden calls it a “pastry sandwich.” We LOVED them. I didn’t even have any left for this morning. Don’t worry, we made muffins. Anyway, the toaster pastries are pretty easy to make. I made a video of my first time making them and it was a success! It’s a little long (about 4 minutes for the tutorial), but if you stick it out to the end you can watch Caeden and Micah taste-test these for the first time.
What is your go-to breakfast? Comment, I would love more breakfast ideas!
