Everyone needs to hear this

You are not a reflection of those who can’t love you.

Let me say it again: YOU ARE NOT A REFLECTION OF THOSE WHO CAN’T LOVE YOU.

Someone on the internet said it–I couldn’t find the source

You are not what people say about you.
You are not what people think about you.
And you are worthy of love.
It’s okay to set boundaries with people and to set boundaries with yourself.

By the time we’re 35 years old, 95% of who we are is a set of memorized behaviors, emotions, and reactions (A thing I learned in a podcast this week).

Are you looping thoughts that are kind and loving and TRUE about yourself?
Or are you looping the thoughts that other people think about you? The things that other people say?

You are not a reflection of those who can’t love you.

The older I get the less I care about what other people say about me–but there are a few things that sink deep for me:

You’re not a good mother.
You’re so selfish.
I expected more.

Whenever I hear these things from anyone it’s like I’ve been punched in the face, and I carry it with me for days. I let it affect everything because my greatest fear is,

OMG. What if they’re right?

But they’re not. And they’re not right about you either. Good, kind, loving people don’t look for ways to hurt you. Healthy relationships do not make you wonder if you are worthy of love or if you’re doing enough.

Take a look at yourself; are you speaking to yourself in a way that shows you appreciate yourself? In a way that is a reflection of love and truth? Or are you speaking to yourself the way others THINK about you?

I’ll say it one last time: You are not a reflection of those who can’t love you.

WHAT I’M USING // DIGESTIVE SUPPORT

Digestion plays a huge role in our mood and behavior. When your gut is healthy, your moods are more stable and your immune system is stronger, and I feel like you can process so much better emotionally. Have you ever had so many feelings it made you sick to your stomach? Me too–these supplements can help to balance your mood, and these oils can help in those moments when you feel emotionally sick as well.  This is what I’ve been using lately:

You can watch my live class replay by joining my Facebook group and be sure to check out the full post on Instagram to see everything I use to keep my gut healthy!

JOURNAL PROMPTS //

Choose to use or all and do one each day. It’s totally up to you and use an oil before you journal (like wild orange–it’s good for digestion, but also grounding and uplifting!). Feel free to tag me @folkandco on Instagram! I’d love to share in my story! #awildjournal

What are some kind things people have said about you? If you can’t think of any, ask a few people!
What are some things you like about yourself? (regardless of whether or not other people like them?)
Create a mood tracker in your journal (I have some ideas here)
What are some of your favorite inspo quotes?
What are some of your loop thoughts or behaviors?
What boundaries do I need to create with myself?
What boundaries do I need to create with my unhealthy relationships?
What are some memorized emotions that you’d like to change?
Where did these emotions, behaviors, and thoughts come from?
What brings you joy?

Hope to see some of your pages in #awildjournal!
